Set the host, port and authentication in Mac network settings.

Get your connection details

Open your Residential or Datacenter access in the dashboard, then its configuration tab. Select the protocol shown here, your country and session settings.

Server address
port
Port for this protocol

Proxy username

Proxy password

Copy the fields separately. Proxy credentials are different from your Proxly account login. After changing the location, copy the updated proxy username again.

Open your connection

Connect the app

  1. Open your Mac's network settings and the details of the active connection. Select Proxies.

  2. Enable the web proxy for HTTP and HTTPS. Use the dashboard's HTTP host and port for both.

  3. Enable authentication, enter the proxy username and password, then apply the settings.

These settings belong to the selected network connection. Not every app uses the system proxy.

Test the connection

Open api.ipify.org in the configured browser. Compare the address with a direct connection: it should change when the proxy is working.

Turn the proxy off

Disable the HTTP and HTTPS web proxies for this connection and apply the changes.

If the connection fails

Authentication error

Recopy the proxy credentials. Include the full username with location and session settings. HTTP status 407 means proxy authentication was not accepted.

Connection timeout

Check the dashboard host and the port for the selected protocol. Make sure the access has remaining data. Use HTTP for Chromium with username and password.

The IP did not change

Check the IP inside the configured app or browser profile. Make sure the test site is not excluded from the proxy. Telegram does not change your regular browser IP.
